The install
Six steps per anchor
The short field sequence. Use the full installation guide when you need more detail.
- 01
Lay out + drill
Use the approved Frontline template. Drill each installation hole 1½ inches wide and 10 inches deep with the SDS-MAX rotary hammer. Clear the bit flutes after each hole.
- 02
Clean the hole
Brush to the bottom with repeated up/down passes. Blow out the debris, then repeat: brush → blow → brush → blow.
Watch the cleaning guide ↗ - 03
Prepare + fill
Attach the EPX3 mixing nozzle. Purge one full nozzle length until the mix is uniform gray. Put the nozzle deep in the hole and withdraw it slowly while filling about two-thirds.
- 04
Set the anchor
Push the anchor in with a slow twisting and up/down motion. Top up adhesive if needed, then seat the head flush. Adhesive squeeze-out around the head confirms a complete fill.
- 05
Clean up + cure
Remove excess adhesive immediately. Keep the anchor undisturbed and follow the temperature-appropriate EPX3 cure time before mounting or loading.
- 06
Mount the bollard
Set the Frontline baseplate flat and use the supplied mounting hardware. Install with hand tools—do not use an impact wrench.
Choose for the job size
Any SDS-MAX rotary hammer can work.
Brand and price matter less than having the correct SDS-MAX interface and enough tool for the workload.
